Jane Yu

Jane Yu, Digital Editor-in-Chief

This is Jane’s third year on staff and second year as Digital Editor-in-Chief of Bear Facts. Jane is involved in orchestra, Tri-M, NHS, Sinfonietta, and golf. In the future, Jane hopes to go into law and maybe become a judge one day. Most of the time, you can find Jane practicing her violin for her next performance or audition and outside playing golf in the summer.

Inflation has been on the rise due to the pandemic the past few years. This year, the district decided to increase food prices at LZHS instead of reverting to a government funded food program to allow students choice at lunch.

After Halloween, many parents and students find themselves with extra candy. According to an email from Ryan Rubenstein, assistant principal, people can drop off their leftover candy to schools in the district to be donated to veterans and deployed service members.

Last Sunday, on October 3, students from different clubs and sports put up decorations in preparation for homecoming at the end of this week. Although the homecoming dance and assembly may look different this year, Student Council and Senior Class Board have had to create a different plan than usual.
