With a majority of students feeling anxious in school, the calming room is a supervised place students can go when they need to process their emotions. “For me, its a quiet place. Its just quiet, I can get my work done, and its nice to have a place for students to go to,” Michaela Towne, Spanish teacher and calming room supervisor, said. “It doesnt benefit as much, but it is nice for students if they feel like, Okay, I need to take a break, they now have a place to go.”
