While everyone is deciding what cheesy pick up line to use on their poster to ask their date to Prom or choose the cutest dress to buy and still save money, junior class board is prepping for Prom 2016 taking place at The Westin Chicago North Shore on May 14.

“Junior class board has been very busy preparing for Prom,” Adam Gentry, junior class board member, said. “We have selected the favors that students will receive when they purchase their tickets, and we have chosen what the tickets will look like. We have also been trying to advertise and spread the word about when Prom is and when ticket sales begin.”

Junior Class Board will be selling tickets for the “Roll out the Red Carpet for a Night in the Spotlight” Prom starting April 22; sales end April 26th. Tickets are $75 per person.

“In the next few weeks ticket sales start and we have the bulk of everything ready,” Gentry said. “We will just need to finalize things and do last minute prepping.”

Gentry says junior class board plans the whole Prom so they can coordinate with the hotel and select the food options.

“At the beginning of the year we picked the theme for Prom and from there we have worked on selecting the music, decorations, Prom court, advertising, and ticket sales,” Jordyn Becich, junior class board vice president, said. “We are meeting every week up until Prom to make sure we have every detail worked out.”

According to Becich, the board has created a Twitter account and are planning to do most of the advertising on there. They plan to raffle off free Prom tickets on there and help Promote our ticket sales.

“The goal for us is to make sure everything runs smoothly and that everyone has a fun time,” Becich said. “We want to try and make Prom the best it can be for the school.”
