Cross country is one of the many fall sports coming to an end. This year, the girls team was able to send Brooke Johnston, freshman, to state individually, while the boys team qualified as a team.

Football

The football team had their home game for playoffs against Hersey on November 9th. They came out with a win with a final score of 14-7, with both of the touchdowns coming from Jack Moses, senior. They played again at home last Saturday, against Willowbrook and lost 10-24, ending their 2019-2020 season.

Basketball

Last week, girls basketball completed their tryouts and are now preparing the team for their first game, which will be away on Tuesday, November 19th at 7:00 against Johnsburg. The boys varsity team is also preparing for their first game of the season, which is a blue vs white scrimmage on Friday November 22nd.

Bowling

Girls bowling will have their tryouts on November 19th-21st at Bowlero. The boys team already had their tryouts and are having matches, adding to their current record of 2-1. Their next match is against Mundelein on November 18th.

Cross Country

Seven boys and one girl from various grades travelled to Peoria to run at state. Jacob Myers, junior, placed at 21st place while Brooke Johnston, freshman, placed at 13th place.

“The best thing was really just being able to share that experience with the whole team and running in the biggest race in the state with them,” Meyers said. “For next year I’m looking forward to seeing how the team can improve since we have a strong group of younger guys who will move up into varsity roles.”
