Sons of Sylvia, a Christian band, focuses their songs on keeping faith, love, and a relationship with God. Their album, Revelation, is mainly calm, soothing, and inspiring.
The lead singer’s voice is right on pitch; it’s easy and enjoyable to listen to. The love songs, “Long Beach,” “John Wayne,” and “Ghost Town,” have lyrics to make any girl go “aww.”
The song, “Revelation” is one of the many songs that encourage the listener to keep faith within himself and God, saying “Love’s the only thing that’s keeping us alive/ Oh this is my time, this is my revelation.”
Alternatively, “The War Within” gives off an eerie vibe. The intro is long, and sounds edgy and hard, not really fitting into the softer and loving feel of the songs before it.
Overall, Revelation proved to be a worthwhile CD. When looking for something inspiring or lovey-dovey to listen to, try out Sons of Sylvia.
The band consists of three brothers: Ashley, Austin, and Adam Clark. The three play instruments, sing, and write their songs. Sons of Sylvia currently do not have any tours planned. For more information on them, visit their website at http://sonsofsylvia.com
