Students visit potential employers at the annual job fair.

It may not feel like summer outside, but it’s time to get ready for summer, or at least, summer jobs. Today’s job fair brought businesses, interviews, and job opportunities to LZHS.

“The job fair helped me by making it easier to find a job,” Nick Passafiume, junior, said. “If you don’t know what you want walking in here, this fair made it so you can just walk around and figure that out by the time you leave.”

The job fair had about 25 businesses ranging from fast food restaurants to waitressing and catering.

“These jobs can be useful for students who might need some extra cash or are looking into a career in that type of field,” Jeanette Greco, career site manager, said. “There were so many students who showed up, some looking for experience and others just looking for some extra cash.”

Employers were looking for different qualities in potential employees. Some required experience and others were looking for anyone with time on their hands.

“We’re looking for people who are energetic and eager,” Sheila Jennings, employer for Goodwill, said. “If you have a smile coming up to our booth, that is something that really stands out to us.”
