The boys’ volleyball team will have their senior recognition night at 4:30pm on Friday, May 16 before their game against North Chicago at 5pm.

The program will be graduating seven seniors: Michael Savio, David Doherty, Brent Sweetwood, Matt Logalbo, Jon Gaide, Adrian Wojcik, and Pat Bush.

“Senior night is a nice sendoff for the seniors who have devoted so much time and effort into the program throughout their high school career,” Jon Gaide, senior and middle-hitter, said. “It would be great to have some student support.”

Parents will walk their athletes across the field house for the seniors’ last home game in their high school careers.

After senior recognition, the team will be playing North Chicago. A win on Friday will guarantee at least a co-conference title, according to Gaide.

“[North Chicago’s] program is still developing, and they become better competitors each time we play, but they shouldn’t be much of an obstacle on our road to conference,” Gaide said.

The boys’ volleyball team is currently 22-10 and 9-0 in conference, according to Michael Savio, senior captain.
