Numerous clubs and sports teams took advantage of the presence of parents at Open House last night to do some fundraising.
Sophomore Class Board sold water, Varsity Poms sold LZHS cups and towels, Band Boosters had Buzz Books, and Color Guard sold “bear boas.” Orchesis sold candy to help pay for costumes and choreographers.
“There are three groups of us, in [the PAC lobby], the cafeteria, and the gym. So far we’ve sold 95 candy bars,” Alyssa Fletcher, senior and Orchesis member, said.
National Honor Society had a booth advertising its free tutoring on late start days. NHS members stayed after school and put up patriotic decorations in preparation for September 11 commemorations. The streamers hung in the cafeteria during Open House.
