Blue Man Group takes the stage in Chicago

Throughout the month of October, the Blue Man Group will be performing at the Briar Street Theatre in downtown Chicago.

The Blue Man Group, well known for being painted completely blue, wearing only black, and never speaking, is a famous theater group which uses percussion instruments as well as multimedia. They use food, paint, and even PVC pipes to create a unique performance unlike any other.

Libby Ihm, sophomore, saw the Blue Man Group when she was 14.

“They pretended to shove a camera down my dads throat,” Ihm said. “Then they made people eat twinkies and barf them back out.”

This performance group changes the routine almost every show, so seeing them perform more than once is never the same experience. They accomplish this by doing some of the most random, crazy acts to keep the audience entertained.

“The best part was when they threw marshmallows out into the crowd,” Megan Holbrook, senior, said when she went to see the group perform last year with her basketball team.
