As a junior, students focus on taking the ACT, not looking for colleges. Rebecca Kubin, junior, is ahead of the game by already being committed to a Division 1 school, after being recruited for her soccer skills.

Q: How long have you been playing soccer?
A: I’ve been playing soccer since I was 5 or 6 years old lady I’ve been playing club for about 8-9 years and I played school soccer though middle school but started school soccer when I was a sophomore.

Q: When did you start getting recruited for schools?
A: I started getting noticed by different schools sophomore year because we went to showcases. I went to a camp at Murray State University in the summer going into junior year and they liked what they saw.

Q: Why did you decide to commit as a junior?
A: I decided to commit early because I wanted to play D1 and they commit really early. I had two weeks to decide if I wanted to or not and because I knew this was a good school for me.

Q: Why did you decide to commit to Murray State University?
A: I committed to this school because they have the program’s I want to study when I come here here and I really enjoyed the campus and the coaches are really good.
