Flo Rida’s boring new music hits iTunes

The rapper Flo Rida has released three new songs on iTunes as a preview for his slightly less than average album titled My House. Fortunately, for fans who plan on buying his new release, this seven song album will only be $5.99.

Flo Rida’s typical rap and song style is fun and gives his fans something to dance to but the sound is now overused. The three songs released are nothing to go download right away.

“Once in a lifetime,” his first song on the album, is probably the best, however, if auto-tune is something you do not enjoy, keep your ears away from listening to this. This song could be so much better, especially with the message that love comes once in a lifetime.

His second song that is also the title for his album, “My House,” is boring. Flo Rida sings about having a party at his home, but a boring tone in his vocals is taken. Flo Rida sings more as a parent yelling at his son for having friends over without permission.

The final song is a duet with Robin Thicke. The song is uncreatively titled “I don’t like it, I love it.” The song will have listeners ‘hating it’ before the last beat. It is too repetitive for enjoyment.

One music listener and maker of his own, Jake Gorey, sophomore, feels that the songs are nothing new.

“[The songs] are feel good songs but really not my style. When I listen to the song, it feels like a middle school dance,” Gorey, said.

Flo Rida’s new songs for his new album bring overused ideas and beats to iTunes.
