Kalin and Myles “Trampoline” fails to impress

Despite previous success in songs such as “Love Robbery”, Kalin and Myles Dedication EP is a repetitive album that falls under just about every generic pop stereotype, and not in a good way.

The most popular hit on the album, “Trampoline”, consists of three and a half minutes of simple piano chords and hand claps that seem to never end while the two boys rap about girls. It has no way of standing out amongst other singles on the rap and pop charts.

Unsurprisingly, the music video for “Trampoline” is equally as unoriginal as the song. From twerking girls to filming themselves flip around on trampolines, Kalin and Myles have created another bland pop music video with flashy camera angles making up for the lack of substance.

While some of the songs on the album are weak, there are good parts where the boys’ talents are genuinely showcased with solid lyrics in the songs “I Don’t Really Care” and “You’re

the Only One I Need,” which features a unique combo of horns and acoustic guitars.

On the other hand, “Trampoline” and “Dedication” are nauseatingly repetitive and bland with synthetic sound and weak choruses that have the ability to make listeners turn off the song before reaching the second verse.

Overall, Kalin and Myles “Trampoline” is a standard wanna-be chart topper, but other parts of the Dedication EP have the potential to boost the duo’s fan base as well as their position on the charts.
