New desks and chairs for the school

The summer cleaning crew is working to replace the broken desks. In order to make way for the new ones, they lined up the desks and chairs in the B hallway.

The new desks arrived at the school and are currently being installed in ten classrooms, Eduin Cartagena, Custodian manager, said.

“This does not happen every year,” Cartagena said. “The school decides where they will need the new furniture.”

It takes about seven workers and an hour to remove the old desks, take the new desks out of their packages, and move them into the classroom, Cartagena said. The old desks go into storage, but they broken ones will be thrown away.
