With new album Blossom being released on March 17th, Milky Chance releases songs to get people excited and test the waters for their new musical electronic-folk style approach.

Though they are sticking to their unique musical style, Milky Chance steps up their game by changing their approach to sound with title track “Blossom.” The catchy beat is expected from them, but the band focused on the sounds of the instruments rather than creating the sound on a computer.

“The duo relied on real instruments instead of digital and advanced their musicality, while also making a concerted effort to retain their DIY Macbook-uniqueness,” Rob LeDonne said in his review on billboard.com.

The lack of clarity in the lyrics suggests that the focus of the song should be the sound of the instruments. The chorus stands out because it is much easier to understand than the rest of the lyrics in the song. The repetition of the chorus nearly guarantees that the song will get stuck in your head, but with this song, that may not be a bad thing.

However, with multiple different instruments and sounds being played together, you almost do not need to know the lyrics to get hooked on the song.

With spring break just around the corner, this upbeat album is perfect for dancing in a house, singing in the car, bobbing your head on a plane, basking on a beach, or however you spend your break.
