Choir takes Hawaii

Choir students arrived in Hawaii Thursday afternoon for a seven day trip to sing at multiple locations, as well enjoy some sightseeing.

“[We] performed twice, once at Pearl Harbor and another time at a large mall in Oahu,” Kayla Kosatka, senior, said. “We [also performed] at the Polynesian Cultural Center, and my favorite part of the trip [was] walking the beach.”

While the purpose of the trip is to perform, the group has not overlooked the fact it is Spring Break.

“We took a walk along the beach and it was so beautiful,” Marin Lilly, junior, said. “I just love how everything is so beautiful.”

The choir students also got to whale watch, snorkel, hike, shop, and swim during their stay in Hawaii.

“We got hula lessons, we went to Pearl Harbor and performed there, unfortunately it was raining but it was still cool,” Victoria Volante, senior, said. “We went to Ala Moana Center and performed and got time to shop, and we went whale watching although most of the people just tanned. We also went snorkeling on our own which was basically free beach time. I love the ocean. So I would have to say beach time is my favorite.”
