Halloween is never completely without a spook-tacular playlist!

Halloween has a scary amount of fa-boo-lous activities but no Halloween would ever be complete without some Halloween music, guaranteed to scare up some spooky fun.

I listened to a number of chilling Halloween tunes and determined which ones are spook-tacular and which ones should be running for the graveyard.

  1. Monster Mash: I couldn’t help but love all the eerie elements of Halloween that this song brought. The spooky, rhyming lyrics along with a groovy tune makes this song perfect for any Halloween bash. Although this song is the epitome of Halloween, I found that it was really missing a different beginning, middle, and end so it landed number 5 on the list.

  1. Ghostbusters: Parker creates a tune that is lighthearted and memorable for all. This track had its first claim to fame in the film “Ghostbusters” in 1984, which turned it into a classic that spans through the ages. No matter how old the person, almost everyone remembers the iconic lines of, “Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters!” While this great piece of music is memorable, I found it a little repetitive, which led the song to be ranked number 4 on my list.

  1. Spooky scary skeletons: This song is so upbeat that it will just make you want to dance! While also containing some enjoyable alliterations, this song has a rapid tempo that turned it into a popular dance. This tracked ranked third on my list because even though it’s very well known and popular, I think it could have used more variety in its lyrics.

  1. Thriller: No Halloween playlist could ever be complete without Thriller by Michael Jackson! Thriller made its first debut in 1982 and was an instant classic ever since. This song contains a variety of musical techniques that keeps listeners hooked and ready for more. The only thing missing is a stronger ending to close out this fangtastic song.

  1. Calling all the monsters: Calling all the monsters made its first claim to fame when it came out in the movie  A.N.T farm. After it’s major debut, this hip song became in instant popular ?amongst kids and teens. McClain has such a unique voice that propels this tune into a wonderful Halloween pop song. This song is catchy, upbeat, and so unique which, makes it the perfect song to pump up the party on Halloween night.
