The team had a first place finish in the varsity 3200 meter race with Caitlin Shepard, junior, who ran 11.18 minutes, and a fourth place finish in the 100 meter hurdles, running 16.03 seconds as well as a second place in pole vault, with Alyssa Morello, sophomore, jumping 9 feet 6 inches.

“I thought my race went pretty well for the conditions because the back half of the track was really windy,” Shepard said. “My goal was just to get as close as I could to 11.00, and I think it went well.”

The meet started one hour late due to difficulties with the timing and a delay in the arrival of the official timer, causing the preliminary races to be canceled.

“Despite the timer being late, I thought we did great and the meet ran a lot smoother than most meets ever do,” Morello said. “The hurdles were set up really quick and everybody worked well.”
