The girls’ team had a 12-1 regular season record and 19-4 including tournament games. They placed fourth in the Oak Park River Forest tournament and placed third in the Wildcat Classic tournament.
The girls’ only regular season loss came against Lake Forest with a final score of 3-7, and they later beat the Scouts in the Wildcat Classic tournament.
Also during the Wildcat Classic, the girls swept their pool and made it to the playoff rounds. They played Hinsdale Central Red in the first round and won. The girls then went on to play New Trier Green and lost. Their final game for third or fourth place was played against Lake Forest which they won, earning them third place in the tournament out of 32 teams.
The boys’ record was 14-2 on the regular season, with a 16-4 record with tournament games. The boys’ only losses came against Lake Forest (3-7) and Grayslake North (4-9), and the boys later went on to defeat Grayslake North later in the season.
During their tournament, the boys won against both Grayslake Central and Warren, and lost to Lake Forest in a close game (3-4), which allowed them to place fourth in the tournament out of eight teams.
Both teams played well throughout the season, and the girls’ record makes them the winningest team in girls’ lacrosse history at Lake Zurich.
