The fall play will set sail for Ancient Greece when 60+ cast and crew go aboard the ship and perform Argonautika on November 12-14 at 7:30pm.

“I think people should attend because it’s a very unique show and we haven’t done anything like it in a very long time.” Addie Howell, senior playing as Aphrodite, said. “The show also incorporates action, drama, romance, and humor so it can suit everyone’s interests. I think the audience can look forward to the amazing acting, the show involves characters everyone has heard of such as Hercules, Athena, Hera, and Cupid. It’s cool getting to see these characters played out on stage.”

On a journey to find the Golden Fleece, Jason, played by senior Zach Keller, and his crew are faced with “sea monsters, storms, and evil kings” throughout the play. The play is about 2 hours long, according to Howell. But Jason also needs the help of Medea, the Colchian princess, to get past a dragon that guards the Golden Fleece, and the action-packed story soon turns into a love story.

“The best part for me in this show was getting to grow close with my cast mates and our new director.” Howell said. “We have all worked really hard on the show and can’t wait to put it on for everyone.”
