Screen-printers in cafeteria to print names on Homecoming shirts

This year, Homecoming t-shirts are short-sleeved instead of long-sleeved and will not come with students’ names on the back like in previous years.

“Junior Class Board voted on short-sleeved shirts last year,” Suzanne Santiago, science teacher and Junior Class Board sponsor, said. “They chose short-sleeved because Homecoming is so early this year and it would be too hot for long sleeves, especially for the Powderpuff game.”

The new t-shirt is made from an athletic wear material and cost $20 instead of $27. Because the shirts had to be ordered so early in the year, the shirts will not come with students’ last names on the back.

“Screen-printers are here during lunch periods to print letters on the back of the t-shirts,” Santiago said. “A name up to 8 letters will cost $5, and every letter after that will be 50 cents.”

The last day to get names printed on the back of t-shirts is Tuesday, September 16 throughout all lunch periods.
