Who will be the future Mr. LZ?

‘Twas the week before Mr. LZ, and all through the town, not a contestant was resting, they were working for the crown.  The talents were chosen and practiced with care, in hopes of taking the trophy without feeling despair.

The final competition and show for Mr. LZ will be happening next Wednesday, March 19 at 7pm in the PAC.  The winner will be crowned and will gain bragging rights as the face of LZHS 2014.

Jon Gaide:

Why should you be Mr. LZ?

“Well, I need to start somewhere if I want to be Mr. Illinois.”

What are three words that describe you?

“Your dream man.”

What are you most dreading in the competition?

“Dancing. I look like one of those inflatable tube men in front of a car dealership.”

Who do you want to win this competition for?

“My beloved friends and fans (yeah, all three of them).”

What are you doing in preparation to win?

“You mean besides being an international heartthrob?”

Max Galarce:

Why should you be Mr. LZ?

“I have had a really great four years here so far and met so many cool people and had so many great teachers that it would be such an honor for me to represent the school.”

Who do you want to win this competition for?

“My Grandpa. He is always proud no matter how well I do, and it would be cool to win this for him.”

What are you doing in preparation to win?

“Go to Chipotle the night before and practice a lot.”

Mark Lacsam:

Why should you be Mr. LZ?

“Is this a joke? I’m Mark Lacsam.”

What is something that has happened to you that makes you who you are today?

“Started from the bottom; now I’m here.”

What are you most looking forward to in the competition?

“Just having a good time and showing the rest of Lake Zurich what’s up.”

What are you most dreading in the competition?

“Seeing the disappointment on my competitors’ faces after I get the crown.”

Adam Minossora

What is something that has happened to you that makes you who you are today?

“Being born? There isn’t one event I could pinpoint.”

What are you doing in preparation to win?

“I’m just winging it!”
What will it mean to you if you do win?

“It would be pretty awesome to win, but just being in Mr. LZ is mind blowing to me. I just want to have fun and hangout with my friends and fellow peers for the last time. It’s an honor just to be nominated for it.”

Evan Murray:

Why should you be Mr. LZ?

“I’ve swam in two Lake Zurichs in the world. #nbd”

What are you most looking forward to in the competition?

“Having the crown placed on my head.”

What are you doing in preparation to win?

“Watching every Miss Universe since its conception.”

Joey Nolan:

Who is your biggest competition?

“Sam Walstrum. His hair alone is a force to be reckoned with.”

Why should you be Mr. LZ?

“Just like everything else senior year, I need something to put on college apps.”

What are the words you live by?

“You look good, you feel good, you play good, you pray good, you know?”

What is something that has happened to you that makes you who you are today?

“I was bitten by a radioactive spider.”

What are three words that describe you?

“Flirtatious, saucy, mysterious.”

Matthew O’Connor:

Why should you be Mr. LZ?

“I try my best to do the right thing, and learn from my mistakes. I’ve always loved and repped LZ in every aspect of our community.”

What are you most looking forward to in the competition?

“Adam Minossora’s bad jokes.”

What are you most dreading in the competition?

“Adam Minossora’s bad jokes.”

Michael Savio:

Why should you be Mr. LZ?

“Have you seen my hair? This isn’t even a real question.”

What are you most dreading in the competition?

“My parents seeing the way I dance.”

What are you doing in preparation to win?

“I’m doing background check on all the candidates so I can blackmail them with information from their past on pictures of them from 7th grade, a dark time for all of us.”

What will it mean to you if you do win?

“It will mean that for the first time in my life, I will have won something that doesn’t have to do with how often I sleep in class.”

Danny Scigalski:

What are three words that describe you?

“Super funny, extremely talented, very humble.”

What are you most dreading in the competition?

“Trying to fit the first place trophy in my car after the competition.”

Who is your role model?

“That guy I always see in the mirror.”

What are you doing in preparation to win?

“Haha, preparation? Nah, that ain’t me!”

Richard Waller:

Why should you be Mr. LZ?

“LZ needs someone strong, athletic, and good looking. I may not have those qualities, but I can offer full protection for the village after dark.”

What are three words that describe you?

“Mister, L, Z.”

What are you most looking forward to in the competition?

“Writing a letter to my mother.”

Sam Walstrum:

Why should you be Mr. LZ?

“I play Lake Zurich football. Football is the epitome of LZ; therefore, I am the epitome of LZ.”

What are you most dreading in the competition?

“Being the sensitive man I am, the ‘My mom’ speech may leave me tearing up.”

What will it mean to you if you do win?

“This is the only thing I’ve ever wanted in life.”
